Speaking on the just concluded Easter Retreat of the Church, Pastor Owoseni explained that the retreat, themed “He is Alive,” began on Thursday and culminated on Monday with a recreation programme for members of the Gethsemane Prayer Ministries.

According to him, the multi-day programme featured a series of spiritual and outreach activities, saying,  “We started the programme on Thursday with prayers, Friday believers’ programme, Saturday evangelistic outreach, which was very impactful, and Sunday was the Resurrection Sunday service,” he said.

He noted that the final day, Monday, was dedicated to relaxation and fellowship among members. “Monday is our recreation day, where members come together to rest, eat, drink, play games, and enjoy the presence of the Lord,” he stated.

Pastor Owoseni highlighted that Easter is not only a time for spiritual reflection but also a season of rest, made possible through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. “The Lord Jesus Christ has fought the battle to give us rest; now it is time for us to rest,” he added.

In his Easter message, the cleric urged people to embrace the grace made available through Christ’s death and resurrection. He stressed that accepting Jesus Christ leads to a victorious and successful life.

“Jesus Christ is the solution to human problems. If you are yet to accept Him, accept Him as your Lord and Saviour and see how your life will improve,” he said.

Some members of the church described the retreat as a truly enriching and memorable experience, highlighting the deep sense of relaxation and fellowship shared among participants.

They expressed heartfelt appreciation to the General Overseer, Rev’d (Dr) Moses Aransiola, and Pastor (Mrs) Funmilayo Aransiola for thoughtfully organizing the session, which provided a meaningful and joyful way to celebrate Easter together.
