


The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Oyo State Council, has congratulated the former first lady of Oyo state and Nigeria’s Ambassador to Austria, Chief Florence Ajimobi, on the occasion of her 67th birthday, describing her as a distinguished stateswoman and a shining example of selfless service.
In a statement jointly signed by the Chairman, Mr Akeem Abas, and the Secretary, Comrade Temidayo Adu, the Council lauded Chief Ajimobi’s remarkable contributions to national development and her consistent commitment to humanitarian causes.
The council noted that Chief Ajimobi has continued to project Nigeria positively on the global stage through her diplomatic engagements, while upholding the values of integrity, excellence, and dedication in public service.
The statement further acknowledged her enduring relationship with the union, emphasizing that she has remained a dependable benefactor who has consistently supported the Council’s programmes and activities over the years.
According to the statement, her unwavering support has significantly contributed to the success of several initiatives of the NUJ in Oyo State, reflecting her deep appreciation for the role of the media in fostering good governance and societal development.
The union described her generosity and accessibility as exemplary, adding that her goodwill towards journalists has strengthened the bond between her and media practitioners in the state.
Oyo NUJ commended Chief Ajimobi’s legacy of compassion, leadership, and service, noting that her life continues to inspire many within and beyond Oyo State.
