The Chairman of the Oyo State Local Government Staff Pension Board, Hon Akeem Ademola Ige has felicitated the Executive Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency, Engr Oluseyi Abiodun Makinde and other christians all over the world on the 2026 Easter celebration.
The Easter congratulatory message was contained in a press release made available to journalists.
Hon Ige noted that Easter celebration commemorates the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ which signifies victory over death, forgiveness of sins and reconciliation of humanity to God.
Stating that it represents God’s ultimate love , offering hope, new life and salvation and therefore urged all christians to reflect on the essence of Easter by promoting love, unity, forgiveness , peaceful co-existence and sacrifice.
The Board Chairman also called on Christians to use the celebration period to intensify prayers for the world, Nigeria and Oyo state in particular.
According to him” on behalf of the Permanent Secretary, management, entire staff and retirees , I felicitate the Executive Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency , Engr Oluseyi Abiodun Makinde FNSE DSc GSSRS,, all christians globally on the occasion of the 2026 Easter celebration. Wishing you all many more of it . Let us all pray for global peace, Nigeria and Oyo state in particular, embrace love, unity, sacrifice and forgiveness”. The statement read.
