The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Oyo State Council, has congratulated renowned journalist and media scholar, Dr. Festus Adedayo, on the occasion of his birthday, describing him as a shining example of professionalism and intellectual depth in the Nigerian media industry.
In a joint statement signed by the Chairman of the Council, Mr. Akeem Abas, and the Secretary, Temidayo Adu, the union commended Dr. Adedayo for his outstanding contributions to journalism, particularly his commitment to truth, courage, and ethical reporting over the years.
The council noted that Dr. Adedayo has remained a strong voice in the media space, using his pen and platform to promote accountability, national development, and the strengthening of democratic values in Nigeria.
According to the statement, his consistency, scholarship, and dedication to mentoring younger journalists have continued to inspire many practitioners within and outside the profession.
The NUJ Oyo State Council wished Dr. Adedayo good health, greater accomplishments, and many more years of impactful service to journalism and humanity.
