The Oyo State College of Agriculture and Technology igboora has again made history in her efforts at promoting teaching, learning and excellence, with the Maiden Matriculation Ceremony for the first set of OYSCATECH-FUNAAB Degree Students held on Friday November 28th 2025 at TETFund Hall of the Institution.

Declaring the Matriculation Ceremony opened, the Vice-Chancellor, Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) Prof. Olusola Babatunde Kehinde, who was represented by Prof. Olukayode Akinyemi, the Deputy Vice Chancellor described the Matriculation ceremony as a milestone that marks the beginning of an exciting academy journey.

Prof. Olusola Kehinde described the matriculation ceremony as a formal induction of the pioneer students into University while describing FUNAAB as a community committed to excellence, integrating global relevance, innovation and service to humanity as its core values.

 The Vice Chancellor also described the matriculation ceremony as rite of passage symbolizing the start of the year filled with discoveries, challenges and transformation. He pledged the institutions commitment in providing enabling environment for the fresh students, while charging them to shun cultism because the institution has zero tolerance for it.

Administering the matriculation oath on the Students, the Registrar, Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta, Dr. Titus Adeniyi charged the students to uphold their oath of allegiance and be law abiding, while the students equally pledged their loyalty to obeying the rules and regulations of the institution.  

In his goodwill message, the Rector of Oyo State College of Agriculture and Technology Prof. Akinola Akinlabi expressed joy that the dream of running a degree programme in affiliation with a university has finally come true. 

He congratulated the students while appreciating the Management of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta for the collaboration.

In his word, “you do not know, how happy I am that the degree programme has finally commenced, I am exceedingly glad.”   

The event was well attended by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta, Prof. Olukayode Akinyemi, who performed his last assignment as DCV and has taken a new appointment as the Vice-Chancellor of Aletheia University, Prof. E.O Idehyen, Academic Coordinator for Oyo State College of Agriculture and Technology, Igboora, Prof.  C.O Alake the Academic Coordinator for Federal College of Agriculture, Ibadan, the Rector of Oyo State College of Agriculture and Technology, Igboora, Prof. Akinola Akinlabi, the Deputy Rector,  Dr. Wasiu Raheem,  the Registrar, Mr. R.F.A .Adeniji, the Bursar, Mr. Modupe Ogundapo, represented by Mrs. Sekinat Adejuwon, a Deputy Bursar, the acting Librarian, Mr. Rasak Oyewo, Director of Works and Services, Engr. Dauda Adeniran Salaam, Chairman, Committee of Deans, Dr. Oladapo Ojo, Director of Academic Planning, Dr. Olubunmi Adeosun, Deputy Registrar, Academic Affairs, Mrs. Modupeola Ayanlola, Deputy Registrar, Admissions, Mr. Oyeyinka Popoola, OYSCATEH Coordinator, Dr. Olusola Olagoke, Deputy Registrar, Public & Alumni Relations, Mrs. Opeyemi Olawore, Dr. Dauda Lasisi, Heads of Departments and Parents
