‎The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has distanced itself from a planned protest by Activist, Omoyele Sowore and his associates, warning students against participating in the event.

‎The NANs led by its President, Comrade Olushola Oladoja, made this known during a press conference held at the Federal Cooperative Government, Eleyele, Ibadan.

The development comes amid claims that NANs is involving in the planned protest.

‎NANS leadership said the protest scheduled for October 20, which they described as a politically motivated agenda has no connection with student organization.

‎Comrade Oladoja, emphasized NANs commitment to peaceful advocacy, constructive engagement, and developmental initiatives that promote the interests of Nigerian students.

‎The Association also urged parents and guardians to caution their children against being used by selfish politicians who exploit young people’s energy for personal gain.

‎NANS assured the public that it will continue to prioritize the welfare and safety of its members, while promoting peace, unity, and national development.
