Among the eminent voices rejoicing at this landmark occasion is business magnate and statesman, Ambassador (Sir) Kinze Isaac Okonkwo, who extended his heartfelt felicitations to the revered monarch. He described the coronation as a moment of divine fulfillment for the people of Ibadan, Oyo State, and Nigeria at large.

In his goodwill message, Ambassador Okonkwo hailed the ascension of Oba Ladoja as a historic and remarkable development, carrying with it the hopes of the people and the blessings of continuity.

He emphasized that Oba Ladoja’s wealth of experience—as a Chemical Engineer, Senator, Governor, statesman, and custodian of culture—uniquely prepares him to lead Ibadanland into a new era of peace, unity, and prosperity.

According to him, the coronation is not only a blessing to Ibadanland but also a source of pride to the Yoruba nation, Nigeria, and indeed the African continent.

“Your reign, Kabiyesi, comes at a time when our nation needs leaders who embody wisdom, humility, and foresight. You have consistently demonstrated these virtues throughout your life, from your years of public service as a Senator and Governor of Oyo State, to your continued devotion to the people. Now, as the 44th Olubadan, you stand as a symbol of unity, progress, and cultural renaissance,” he said.

Ambassador Okonkwo further highlighted the uniqueness of the Olubadan traditional stool, revered not only for its prestige but also for its orderly and peaceful succession system. He commended the Ibadan traditional institution for once again proving that tradition and modernity can coexist in harmony, with the enthronement of Oba Ladoja serving as a shining example.

He stressed that the coronation ushers in renewed hope for sons and daughters of Ibadanland, both at home and in the diaspora, describing the new monarch as a visionary leader whose reign will inspire cultural revival, social cohesion, and development.

“Your Majesty, I join all well-meaning Nigerians in offering my heartfelt congratulations to you. Your ascension to this exalted throne is not by accident but by divine providence. I have no doubt that your leadership will deepen the values of justice, equity, and service that Ibadanland is known for. May your reign bring peace, prosperity, and unity not only to Ibadanland but also to Oyo State and Nigeria as a whole,” he declared.

Praying for divine wisdom and strength for the new monarch, Ambassador Okonkwo expressed confidence that Oba Ladoja’s reign would be remembered for upholding traditional values while embracing modernization and creating opportunities for the younger generation.

“As you ascend the throne of your forefathers, I pray that Almighty God blesses you with long life, sound health, and the wisdom to guide your people with compassion. May Ibadan under your reign continue to flourish, and may posterity celebrate your era as one of peace, progress, and enduring greatness,” he concluded.
