Lawyer to the late Nigerian highest goal poacher, Rasidi Yekini, Jubril Mohammed Olanrewaju has opined that the Oluyole Warriors will bounce back from their defeat to visiting Bayelsa United football club of Yenogoa.
Recalled that Bayelsa United inflicted a 1-0 defeat on the Shooting Stars football club at the main bowl of the Lekan Salami stadium Ibadan on Sunday during Day One of the Nigeria Premier Football League ( NPFL).
The goal was scored in the early minutes of the first half off a corner kick following which Coach Monday Odigie tutored team closed up their rear preventing and thwarting on the Oluyole Warriors attacks.
However, Olanrewaju who spoke in Ibadan stated that the encounter was a tough one which brought the best out of the two teams adding the trouble was that the 3sc fans who were agitating for goals and an equalizer failed to realize that Bayelsa United was was a good team which came well prepared to frustrate the efforts of the home team.
He noted that the Bayelsa United team would hold its own and prove its mettle before any team in the NPFL noting that the Yenogoa based team will finish well at the end of the season.
“ Fans of Shooting Stars failed to realize that Bayelsa United have good players especially the striker and the left winger who were tormenting the homers defense with ease” Olanrewaju observed.
“ Despite these, Shooting Stars showed that they are capable of ruffling feathers by equally tormenting the Bayelsa team especially during the second half with their own doing being their inability to convert their chances” The late Yekini Lawyer averred.
He explained that in-spite of this shortcomings, he sees the Oluyole Warriors recovering from the loss which he posited are a temporary setback stressing that the Shooting Stars are not a push over as some of the fans may have taught.
