In what appears as a twist of fate, Chairman of Fresh fm, Mr Yinka Ayefele on Tuesday August 19( today) , received a surprise gift of a brand new SUV from the Oyo State governor, Seyi Makinde four days after a fire incident the gutted part of the Yinka Ayefele Music House in Challenge area of Ibadan.
Governor Makinde had last Saturday night inspected the fresh fm Music House at Challenge area in Ibadan where he sympathized with the management following the fire incident which destroyed equipment worth millions of naira
Recall that part of the Radio station was pulled down on August 19,2018 by the previous administration for alleged deviation from approved building plan among others.
However, Yinka Ayefele and his team disputed these allegations, with Ayefele’s publicist, David Ajiboye, suggesting that the demolition was politically motivated
Ayefele had approached a court to seek an order barring the state government from demolishing the building, but the government proceeded with the demolition despite a court injunction
Presenting the car on behalf of Governor Seyi Makinde, the Commissioner for Local government and chieftaincy matters in the state, Hon. Ademola Ojo said the gift was in recognition of his immense support and contributions to the administration and the development of Oyo State.
Responding,the CEO of Fessh Fm , Ibadan Mr Yinka Ayefele who could not hide his joy expressed profound gratitude to Governor Seyi Makinde and the cabinet members for the gift
He equally thanked the people of the state as well as media houses who have solidarised with the management of the Radio station over the fire incident.
