Proprietor of Adewale football clubs Micheal Adewale Olanrewaju has thumped up President Bola Ahmed Tinubu over the life changing reward to the Nigeria female team , the Super Falcons and the nation female basketball team ,D’ Tigress following their conquest of the Women African Cup of Nations ( WAFCON) and the African female Basketball tournament in Morrocco and Cote de Voire respectively.
Adewale who spoke from his based at the Obafemi Awolowo stadium, Ibadan said the reward will have a ripple effect on the football development in Nigeria.
He revealed that this development will encourage grassroots coaches to discover more talent knowing fully well that they will be compensated at the end of the day.
Adewale noted that President Tinubu’s gesture is a good omen and positive development for sports in Nigeria as the effects will be unimaginable while praying that this gesture will endure instead of handshake by the last President late Muhammadu Buhari.
“ it will have a spiral effect to the extent that more talent will be produced and developed for Nigeria “ he observed “ Coaches now know that their is prospect for them to look forward to at the end of the day after toiling so hard “
Adewale revealed that such development brings so much joy to Coaches who will be buoyed to work harder for more in the future adding that he was glad that after his wards emerged as champions at the Ibadan Football Council (IFC) tournament, two of his players are now about signing contract papers with a top Nigerian female club-side noting
this was engendered by their performance in the last competition organized by IFC where they performed excellently to the administration of scouts at the competition.
