
Oyo State Government has unveiled Prince Olaide Akinremi Jagaban GRA to immortalize the late Honourable who represented Ibadan North Federal constituency until his death.
Governor Seyi Makinde while unveiling the project at Samonda area of Ibadan, also said reconstruction of Samonda road linking Poly-road would be completed in earnest.
Governor Makinde represented by his Deputy, Barrister Bayo Lawal, described Honourable Akinremi, as a rare gem whose legacy worth emulating and immortalize.
The Governor while assuring prospective occupants of the GRA enabling facilities, added that standard and qualities of naming the estate after Honourable Akinremi would be maintained.
Earlier in his welcome address, Chairman, Ibadan North Local Government, Seun Olufade, Chieftain of APC, Oyo State, Akinade Fijabi and representative of Akinremi family, commended Governor Makinde for the initiative which transcend party-line.
Also speaking, contractor of the housing project, Tomiwa Bickersteth, revealed that the GRA is designed to endure for generations to come.
The estate named after Prince Olaide Akinremi, who died last year, features covered drainage, walkways, transformers, streetlights, and security measures.
