Oyo Ohanaeze Youth President mourns Olubadan’s demise

Madu has expressed his heartfelt condolences over the demise of the late Olubadan of Ibadan land, His Imperial Majesty (HIM), Oba Owolabi Olakulehin.

Recalled that Kabiesi Oba Olakulehin joined his ancestors on Tuesday morning few days after his 90th birthday and less than a week to his one year anniversary on the throne of the Olubadan of Ibadan.

Speaking in Ibadan, Chief Madu who is also the Chairman Aniocha Njikoka /Dunukofia Town Union meeting as well as Ekotedo Igbo Traders Association stated that Ndigbo in Ibadan have lost a great gem in Oba Olakulehin whom he described as some one worth emulating and venerating.

“ He was a very peaceful man who steered away from controversies, trouble and chaos because he believed in the rule of law “ he observed.

“ His reign was characterized by peace and progress among Ndigbo and even the indigenes” The Ohanaeze Youth President noted.

“ During his reign there was peace among us despite the fact that Ndigbo were in many
factions since there is freedom to belong to any association as embedded in Nigeria‘s constitution “ he pointed out.

“ In spite of this, our people enjoyed peace and tranquility and nobody ever fought the other person due to difference in opinion and association “ Chief Madu stated.

The Ohanaeze Youth President submitted that there is something worthwhile Igbo’s can emulate from the late Oba Olakulehin adding that it the adherence to the rule of law and allowing peace to reign.
