Philanthropists and wealthy Nigerians have been urged to extend support to the less privileged in society as a way of promoting their well-being and creating a more inclusive community.

This appeal was made by the Chief Executive Officer of Cornerstone Charity Organization, Lady Kemi Ogunsola, during the celebration of her 50th birthday, held at SUBKEM Hotel and Suites, opposite Ajimobi Motor Park, New Garage, Ibadan.
Speaking at the event, Lady Ogunsola emphasized that reaching out to the poor and vulnerable is a divine command that brings blessings to those who obey it.
She stated that her mission through the Cornerstone Charity Organization is to uplift and empower aged women, single parents, widows, youths, and elderly persons by providing access to resources, vocational training, material aid, and financial support to improve their overall quality of life.
“My decision to create a community where vulnerable individuals can thrive, overcome challenges, and reach their full potential stems from my desire to impact lives positively,” she said.
“I appeal to well-to-do individuals and philanthropists to support the less privileged around them so they, too, can live meaningful lives.”
Lady Ogunsola noted that the organization is committed to providing holistic support—spanning economic empowerment, education, and material relief—to make a lasting impact on the lives of its beneficiaries.
She added that the organization’s objectives align with its mission to respond to the needs of the underprivileged adding that the outreach efforts will continue on a regular basis.
She also encouraged beneficiaries to use the support and items received wisely to improve their lives, assuring others who have not yet benefitted. She pledged that the initiative would reach more people in future phases.
