The Chairman of Abia Youth Association (AYA) Oyo state Chapter Henry Orji has lamented the instability of the naira rate per dollar.
Orji who is also the Vice Chairman Alesinloye Igbo Traders Association, Ibadan opined that the instability of the value of the naira vis a vis the dollar is making business growth impossible and unfavorable.
He observed that the mere fact that it is making prices of goods and services unstable is not healthy for business development and growth pointing out that the only way to ensure that business thrives apart from growth is the stable value of the naira to the dollar.
The Abia Youth boss explained that the situation erodes whatever little profit there is for traders besides driving away customers due to the abnormal increase in prices of goods and services noting that with this trend, business climate can not be conducive and clement for all the parties involved.
Orji fondly called Okwute Mmiri Abia stated that it was high time government intervened to ensure the stability of the naira against the dollar which is the international currency which business is done positing that when this is done, there would be respite as there would modicum growth and development instead of the steep decline being experienced in business in Nigeria.
