He  stated that there is the dire need for all stata and tiers of government to review the country’s educational policies to make it functional so as to develop human capital with requisite skills necessary to promote inclusive society and good governance.

Olagoke in a lecture he delivered titled”, Functional Edecation, A Must”  decried the low funding of the educational sector in Nigeria below the 26 percent minimum benchmark by  UNESCO from yearly national budget of any country adding that the development has over the years , led to an alarming increase in the number of out- of -school- children in the country currently put at 20 million.

While admonishing president Bola Tinubu to employ the services of professionals in running the affairs of the  country rather than on  political sentiments , he warned of the impending doom the country might face  if functional edecation and inclusive society for the promotion of employment opportunities is not urgently addressed on time.

” Respect all the professionals and make use of their expertise to create jobs for millions of school graduates, some of who turn daily into organ harvesters, ritual killers, drug peddlers and baby stealers etc for survival sake

” It is only through functional edecation that people can be rightly enlightened, civilized to be their brother’s keepers and be partiotic enough to render service without resulting in sharp practices of self enrichment”, he stated

He used the occasion to  call on the federal government  and the 36 state governors to urgently cushion the harsh effect  brought about by the removal of

oil subsidy adding that timely and proactive parliatives will help prevent a state of anarchy from the poor masses.

Earlier Principal of the Secondary arm of the school, Mrs H.T Adeleke urged the  outgoing students to  always remember the children of whom they are and continue to inculcate the good morals they have learnt from their alma mater.

Similarly, a retired Principal Manager, Central Bank of Nigeria,CBN, Mr. Al-Aadi Yusuf who was the  special guest of honor  and father of the day as well as  the School proprietress, Alhaja Simiat Olagoke JP,  charged the outgoing students to shun social vices and be good ambassadors of the school and their families.

Two of the graduands,  Toheeb Adesope and Roqeebah Lawal in their seperate remarks expressed gratitude to God and their parents for the completion of their secondary education despite the economic situation of the country pledging to put into practice the moral  virtues and knowledge imparted in them while in the school in all their future endeavors.

The occasion featured presentation of certificates and  prizes  to students from both the primary and secondary arms of the  schools , recitation of the Holy Qur’an and cultural performance.
