The Executive Chairman of Akinyele Local Government Area of Oyo state, Hon Akinwole Akinleye has presented motorcycles ,rain coats and whistles to all security agencies in Akinyele Local Government to strengthen security and curb menace of criminality.
The council boss, at the official presentation of the tools on Wednesday at the council headquarters in Moniya, Ibadan, said the gesture will serve as encouragement to the personnel in order for them to be efficient and proactive in their daily duties.
Hon Akinleye explained that his administration is fully ready to wage war against every kind of criminality, which some of the hide out has been combed by the efforts of the joint security operatives.
The chairman said, since inception into office,his administration had done much in the area of security of lives and property, “knowing well that our Local Government is a mixed ethnic environment with urban and rural people”
He noted that his administration had purchased a Siena bus for local joint security operatives with regular patrol, held Town Hall meeting with the stakeholders on how to better strengthen the council.
He acknowledged the privilege given to him by the people of the council to serve.
