Late Chief Lucas Adekunle: Administrator per excellence – Oyo Pinnacle Club President.

The President, Oyo Pinnacle Club, Oyo, Chief Bayo Adesope has described the late Assistant General Secretary of the club as a man of honour who made use of his administrative acumen to promote high level of progress recorded by the club.

Chief Bayo Adesope in a tribute on behalf of the club, said: “Though, his stay with the club was short, his contributions were immeasurable. The gap the late Assistant General Secretary left behind would be difficult to fill, but we only pray God to grant him eternal rest”.

Chief Adesope, who was in Igboho, the country home of the late Assistant General Secretary to pay his last respect to the deceased, thanked God for living a fulfilled christian life.

In his sermon at a funeral service held in honour of the deceased at First Baptist Church, Ishia. Igboho, Rev(Dr.) S.O Eyitayo described late Chief Lucas Adekunle as a workaholic, who strived hard to attain acceptability in the society.

The clergy who titled his sermon: “Striving to be Acceptable.” which he picked from Psalm 89:48, said the deceased did all what he could to bring himself to limelight. In his words “Chief Adekunle though late, worked tirelessly to serve humanity and God.”

Rev(Dr.) Eyitayo then used the occasion to appeal to christians to emulate the good works of Chief Lucas Adekunle who while on earth promoted love, peace, and service to humanity.”

Chief Lucas Oluwole Adekunle who died on July 5. this year, at the age of 73. was the Atayese of Ajagba, Oyo.
