IJINLE KENNERY crooner and rave of the moment, Afe Korede has dropped another bomb to his already blossoming Kennery music with the release of two in one albums titled, Current Affairs and Legacy.
The Album which have started making waves in the music industry is another bomb loaded with sweet lyrics and melody which orchestrates the irrisistable tune of late Kennery maestro, Chief Oladipupo Owomoyela popularly known as Dr. Orlando Owoh.Speaking on the two albums, Ijinle Kennery (Afe Korede) who took after Orlando Owoh pattern of singing said what inspired LEGACY was the exemplary achievements and contributions of the Dr Orlando Owoh in the music industry.
Afe Korede, leader, Ijinle Kennery.and his Fakor International kenneries band said the albums, LEGACY and Current Affairs have five tracks each and it is the seventh album since he came into the music industry, adding that the acceptability of the albums have been very encouraging.
“What inspired the album, Legacy was the exemplary achievements and contributions of my father and my role model, Dr. Orlando Owoh to the music industry. Even in death Orlando Owoh’s songs remain ever green and are still very relevant all over over the world.
“Dr. Orlando Owoh remains my role model, and I will continue to follow and observe his legacy. His music has always inspired the other musicians, especially the young ones. I am a beneficiary of his legacy and music, he remains a legend in the industry and all over the world. Afe Korede who described Orlando Owoh as a hero and legendary singer said plans are on by him to take his music beyond the shores of the country.
He said his ultimate goal is to use his music to promote and project the industry and humanity in good light.
According to the executive producer, Dios Manda Entertainment; the efforts is his first production, adding that the two albums are loaded with fine lyrics and melody.
