Ladoja finally accepts to wear  Beaded Crown

Former Governor of Oyo state and Otun Olubadan of Ibadanland High Chief Rasidi Ladoja has accepted to wear the beaded crown he had previously rejected to become the Olubadan of Ibadan land.

Ladoja made this known while giving reasons behind his refusal to wear the Ibadan beaded crown given to the elevated chiefs by late Olubadan, Oba Lekan Balogun.

Chief Ladoja insisted he has no rancour with the rest of the Olubadan in council maintaining that the elavated Obas are all his friends.

Ladoja disclosed this while granting interview on Fresh fm Ibadan on sunday morning.

He recounted how the High Chiefs came to him During Ajimobis regime to tell him that they were not well respected at state events lamenting how kings from small towns used to look down on them while at functions.

“I informed them that I have  been a Governor in Oyo state which is a front roll in protocol and that he does not need the beaded crown to be recognized at state events.

The high chief exonorated Governor Seyi Makinde from the crisis in the Ibadan Chieftaincy matters saying that Makinde has no hand in the tussle and that He (The Governor) only follows the majority demand.

He says, Seyi makinde only chose to support the 9 high chiefs against himself that is the only descending voice among the rest.

The Otun Olubadan said  a date for the ceremony will be announced by the Olubadan of Ibadanland Oba Owolabi  Olakulehin.
