A governorship aspirant in Oyo State, Prince Kunle Musediq Adelakun Eruobodo has called on Christians and residents of the state to embrace unity, hope, and collective responsibility as they celebrate Easter.

In a goodwill message to mark the Christian festival, Adelakun congratulated Christian faithful in Oyo State and across Nigeria, describing Easter as a season that symbolizes sacrifice, renewal, and the triumph of life over death through the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

He said the period offers an opportunity for deep reflection on virtues such as humility, compassion, forgiveness, and selfless service, noting that the resurrection story remains a source of renewed hope and strengthened faith for believers.
Adelakun also linked the significance of Easter to Nigeria’s current socio-economic challenges, urging citizens to remain resilient and optimistic.
“At a time when our nation continues to navigate socio-economic difficulties, Easter reminds us that there is always light at the end of the tunnel,” he said, adding that the season calls for spiritual rejuvenation and faith in a better future.
Speaking on the occasion, the All Progressives Congress (APC) aspirant emphasized the need for peaceful coexistence and unity across ethnic, religious, and political lines. He urged citizens to work together toward the development and progress of the state.
Adelakun reaffirmed his commitment to good governance, accountability, and people-oriented governance, expressing confidence that Oyo State is poised for transformation and sustainable development.
He further called on residents to use the Easter period to pray for peace, stability, and prosperity in both the state and the country, while encouraging acts of kindness and support for the less privileged.
The aspirant concluded by wishing Christians a peaceful and fulfilling Easter celebration, expressing hope that the season would bring joy, blessings, and renewed determination to build a just and prosperous society.
