In his declaration speech, the APC aspirant described his ambition as a “divinely ordained project” and unveiled a policy framework built on what he termed People-Oriented Development (POD). He said his administration, if elected, would prioritize critical sectors including education, healthcare, agriculture, security, and economic development.

“Our mission is to place the people at the center of governance and ensure that every citizen enjoys the full dividends of democracy,” Adelakun said.

He pledged to empower youths, women, and small-scale entrepreneurs through skills development programmes, financial support, and job creation initiatives, while also promising modern equipment and incentives to boost agricultural productivity and food security.

Adelakun Eruobodo who outlined plans for infrastructure expansion, including road construction, rehabilitation of existing networks, and improved rural connectivity to stimulate trade and economic growth, said his administration when elected into office will be committed to running an open and accountable government driven by technology and innovation.

The aspirant paid tribute to traditional institutions, particularly the Olubadan of Ibadan land, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, and pledged to strengthen the role and independence of traditional rulers in preserving Yoruba culture and values.

Highlighting his social policy direction, Adelakun Eruobodo proposed the creation of a Ministry of Social Welfare and Humanitarian Services to cater to vulnerable groups, including the elderly. He also promised subsidized tertiary education up to 200 level and scholarships for outstanding students.

In the health sector, he vowed to enforce policies that would prevent hospitals from rejecting emergency patients, while improving access and quality of care across the state.

Adelakun Eruobodo who hails from Ward 12, Ibadan North East Local Government area of Oyo State took a swipe at what he described as “political opportunists,” blaming them for poverty and underdevelopment, and called for an end to politics driven by personal enrichment.

“Democracy must not be treated as a do-or-die affair,” he said, urging unity and collective responsibility among citizens.

The governorship hopeful expressed support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, commending his leadership and reform efforts at the national level.

Drawing inspiration from notable Yoruba leaders such as Chief Obafemi Awolowo, Oba Adesoji Aderemi, Alhaji Busari Oloyede Adelakun (ERUOBODO), Chief Bola Ige, Chief Ladoke Akintola,  Chief Emmanuel Alayande, Alhaji Lam Adesina, Senator Abiola Ajimobi, and Chief Bisi Akande, Prince  Adelakun Eruobodo said his vision is to restore Oyo State’s status as the “Pacesetter State” through progressive governance.

While expressing confidence in victory, Eruobodo called for the support of the people of the state to be sworn in as governor on May 29, 2027.
