A governorship aspirant of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Oyo State, Dr. Gbemileke Alagbe, has expressed solidarity with residents and Nigerians over the prevailing economic hardship, assuring them of his party’s commitment to building a more responsive system that will better serve the people

In a statement issued on Wednesday, Dr. Alagbe acknowledged the strain caused by rising petroleum prices on families, businesses, and daily living , noting that the increase has worsened living conditions across sectors, including transportation and food supply.

” I feel the pain of our people. The rising cost of fuel has triggered hardship across every sector — from transportation to food prices. This is not just economic pressure; it is a daily struggle for survival for millions of Nigerians,” he stated.

The aspirant urged citizens not to lose hope, despite the challenges, maintaining that a better future remains achievable through collective effort and purposeful leadership.

“By the grace of God, help is on the way. A new Nigeria is possible, and together, we will build a system that works for the people , not against them.” he said

He urged citizens to remain resilient while emphasizing the need for collective political action to bring about meaningful change.

Dr. Alagbe also extended goodwill to Muslim faithful ahead of the conclusion of Ramadan, praying for peace, prosperity and national progress.

The ADC aspirant used the opportunity to encourage Nigerians to support the party, describing it as a credible alternative committed to improving governance and rebuilding the economy.

“The ADC remains the credible alternative , a party committed to rescuing Nigeria from bad governance, restoring dignity, and rebuilding our economy. I strongly encourage every citizen who desires change to take action now.”

He urged interested citizens to register with the party through its official platform www.adcregistration.ng , calling on them to move “from complaints to commitment.“

Dr. Alagbe reaffirmed his commitment to people-centred leadership, economic recovery and inclusive development in Oyo State.
