According to a release by the Command Police Public Relations Officer, (PPRO), DSP Alayande Olayinka, the discovery was reported on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at the Egbeda Divisional Police Headquarters by a good Samaritan who operates a car wash around Ile Marun, Iwo Road, along the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway.
According to the report, the man noticed the body lying inside a nearby drainage channel when he arrived at his car wash stand earlier that day.
