The President of the United Apostolic Church of Christ (UACC), Rev. Dr. James Bayo Owoyemi, has warned Ministers of God not to compromise on divine standards, regardless of circumstances.
He delivered the message at the Thanksgiving Service marking the end of the church’s 61st Annual Pastor’s Conference, themed “Signs and Wonders”, held at the UACC Mount Zion International Prayer Center, Ologuneru, Ibadan.
The weeklong programme featured seminars, health care talks, revival sessions, and anointing services, drawing ministers from across the nation.
In his sermon, “How Do You Relate to the Covenant?,“ Rev. Owoyemi emphasised the critical importance of walking in apostolic authority and remaining aligned with God’s covenant.

“For us to get the result, we have to follow and maintain the standard of God. One major standard of God is that we need to align with the covenant.
Citing Daniel 11:32, he warned ministers against acting against God’s covenant, urging them to uphold His principles even in challenging times.
“The Bible says some people do wickedly against the covenant. Situations like this do happen in our country; it has happened in the past. Because of circumstances, people who started very well compromised due to situations they never expected.
“Nevertheless, some remained constant and did not deviate from the standard. The Bible says people who act wickedly against the covenant shall be destroyed, but those who know their God shall do exploits, for they will remain strong and the power of God will be with them.
“That is why we are charging our people that, regardless of what happens, they should know that the standard of God cannot change because God can never change, and His commandments will never change. We should remain committed to the truth and the principles of God.”, he urged
Rev. Owoyemi also emphasized honesty and integrity in ministry, reminding ministers that God keeps record of all actions.
“Some people are not working in line with the principles of God, which is very dangerous. My advice is that while serving God, we should maintain His standard and not allow circumstances to shift us from the path of righteousness, believing that one day we will give account of everything we do before Him.” he said
Turning to the nation’s challenges, the cleric encouraged Nigerians to remain steadfast in faith, assuring them that current security and economic difficulties are temporary.
“Nigerians should know that God will intervene in the affairs of Nigeria. A good and peaceful Nigeria is coming, and by the grace of God, it shall come.
“I want to encourage Nigerians to remain steadfast, faithful, and trust God, and should not allow present circumstances to push them to partake in activities that are not acceptable to God.” Rev. Owoyemi said
On the upcoming elections, Rev. Owoyemi urged Christians to exercise their civic rights responsibly.
“The election will come, and God will take total control. I encourage Nigerians to shun any form of violence or malpractice that may mar the electoral process, so that the will of the people and the will of God will come to pass.” he said
The clergyman also revealed a bold vision for the church: the establishment of a city, to be called “United City of God”, equipped with camps, schools, a university, and other modern infrastructure.
“God has given us this vision, and when it comes to reality, it will be to the glory of God and the betterment of humanity,” he concluded.
