


The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Itesiwaju Local Government, Oyo State, is set to hold it’s first general meeting on Saturday, March 14,2026 at its newly inaugurated party secretariat located along new Police Station, beside Ajala filling station in Otu, the council’s headquarters.


The meeting, which will be presided over by Mr. Ayo Akinyemi, State Chairman of the Membership Revalidation and Membership Registration (MRMR) Committee and also an indigene of Otu, aims to strengthen the party’s presence in Okeogun district and the state at large.
Akinyemi emphasized the meeting’s importance, saying, “It is a call to action for everyone who believes that a new Nigeria is possible.”
According to him, the gathering will focus on expanding the party’s grassroots presence in the area.
Party members and supporters are urged to attend and contribute to discussions on ADC’s future in the area
Expected at the event, are all ward members and supporters of the party in the council area.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of the state Membership Revalidation and Membership Registration MRMR Committee, Mr Ayo Akinyemi has called on supporters of the party and interested members of the public to register with the party through the ADC online registration portal https://adcregistration.ng
He made the call on Friday during the commissioning of the ADC party Secretariat as in Otu, headquarters of Itesiwaju Local Government Area of Oyo state.
Akinyemi said the exercise which commenced following the inauguration of the MRMR’ Committee on February 12,2026 is to strengthen it’s grassroots structure ahead of the 2027 elections.
According to him, the MRMR’ Committee had been instructed to establish flexible registration stations across the 33 local government areas to assist members experiencing difficulties with the online process.
He called on the people of the constituency to support the ADC in the various local governments of the state in order to bring about a better Nigeria
” We have brought the ADC directly to our people now so that everybody can join hands to work towards a better Nigeria” he said
The inauguration ceremony was followed by a Constituency Stakeholders Executive Meeting comprising members from Itesiwaju, Iseyin, Iwajowa land Kajola local governments.
In attendance at the meeting include;Elder Akindele, S.A. (Chairman Iseyin LG).Mr. Kamilu Bello (Chairman Kajola LG), Mr. Faruq Misbaudeen (Chairman Iwajowa LG).,Alhaja Fatimo Alege (Chairman Itesiwaju LG), Hon. Fadeyi Samuel (Fed. Const. Chairman).Com. Salaudeen Soliu Tunde (Fed. Const. Secretary) and Prince Kehinde Aworinde (Kajola LG Stakeholder).
