Restructuring: TRG Holds 6th Final North Central Symposium in Jos, March 3, 4

The Rebirth Group (TRG) is set to host its 6th and final North Central Symposium from March 3 to 4, 2026, at Yelwa Club, Bukuru, in Jos, Plateau State.

The event, according to Engr (Dr) Abiola Ajibola, Director of Media & Strategy for the Organisation, will commence at 10:00 a.m. daily and is expected to draw prominent leaders, scholars, policymakers, and advocates from across the region and beyond.

With the theme, “Restructuring: A Veritable Path to the Nigeria of Our Dreams,” the symposium aims to foster robust dialogue on national unity, governance reforms, and sustainable development. Organisers say the gathering will provide a strategic platform for critical conversations around restructuring as a pathway to equity, justice, and national progress.

The Lead Speaker for the symposium is renowned cleric and public affairs commentator, Prophet Isa El-Buba, who is expected to deliver a keynote address.

The Executive Governor of Plateau State, Caleb Mutfwang, will serve as Chairman of the occasion, underscoring the state government’s commitment to dialogue and inclusive governance in the North Central region.

Also scheduled to speak is Dr. Bitrus Pogu, President of the Middle Belt Forum, who will bring a regional perspective to the restructuring discourse. Honourable Esther Simi Disu, Special Adviser on Social Welfare in the Office of the Executive Governor of Plateau State, is also billed to address participants.

The symposium will further feature distinguished academics, including Professor Patricia Manko Lar, former Acting Vice Chancellor of the University of Abuja, and Professor Dul Johnson of Bingham University, Abuja. Their contributions are expected to deepen intellectual engagement on governance, policy, and institutional reforms.

Other notable speakers include Ibrahim Kabiru Gagarawa, Founder of GYIC; Princess Halima Tijjani Turaki, President and Founder of Voice of Wisdom in Nigeria Leadership Initiative; and Professor Elias Nankap Lamie, Lead Consultant at Peace Bridge in Nigeria CCMP and the University of Jos.

According to the organisers, the 6th North Central Symposium represents a significant milestone for The Rebirth Group, marking the culmination of a series of regional engagements aimed at shaping conversations around Nigeria’s future. Participants are expected to explore practical frameworks for restructuring, national cohesion, and citizen-driven development.

As anticipation builds, stakeholders across political, academic, and civil society circles view the symposium as a timely intervention in the ongoing national conversation about building a more just, united, and prosperous Nigeria
