Funmi Aragbaiye Congratulates Oyo Speaker, Adebo Ogundoyin on Successful Tenure as Chairman, Conference of Speakers

Renowned Nigerian gospel music minister and Evangelist, (Dr.) Funmi Aragbaiye, has extended warm congratulations to the Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Rt. Honourable Adebo Ogundoyin, following the successful completion of his tenure as Chairman of the Conference of Speakers of State Legislatures of Nigeria.

In a heartfelt congratulatory message made available to Oodua News Newspaper on Wednesday, Evangelist Aragbaiye described Ogundoyin’s tenure as impactful, progressive, and marked by a deep commitment to legislative excellence and national unity.

Rt. Hon. Ogundoyin, who also serves as the Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, concluded his term as Chairman of the prestigious Conference after steering the body through a period widely regarded as significant in strengthening inter-legislative collaboration across Nigeria’s 36 states.

Dr. Aragbaiye, a respected figure in Nigeria’s gospel music community and overseas  praised Ogundoyin’s leadership qualities, describing him as “a symbol of youthful excellence, visionary governance, and integrity in public service.”

“Your tenure as Chairman of the Conference of Speakers has demonstrated that leadership anchored on wisdom, humility, and service can transform institutions and inspire a generation,” she stated. “You have not only represented Oyo State with dignity but have also raised the bar for legislative leadership in Nigeria.”

The gospel icon noted that Ogundoyin’s stewardship strengthened cooperation among state legislatures, encouraged legislative reforms, and promoted democratic values at a critical time in Nigeria’s political evolution.

According to her, the Conference of Speakers under his chairmanship became more proactive in addressing issues of national importance, fostering synergy between state assemblies, and advocating for constitutional reforms that enhance good governance.

Dr. Aragbaiye further commended Ogundoyin for exemplifying disciplined leadership and maintaining stability within the Conference, adding that his calm disposition and inclusive style helped unify diverse interests across the country.
