
The Vice-Chairman, Egbeda Local Government Area and Political Administration Head, Ajorosun Local Council Development Area, Hon. Ibrahim Oladeebo Simple has called young children to face their studies for better future.
He stated this at the Catch Them Young Initiative Campaign held at Brendan Primary School, Kumopayi, Olodo, Ibadan on Thursday.
The grassroots leader expressed his over bound joy as he returned to his alma mata for a motivation after over thirty years.
He noted the importance of quality education in any society, saying this has greatly helped him become a point of reference in Egbeda, and Oyo State as a whole.
Oladeebo reminisced his youthful days at Brendan Primary school as a member of the band crew, saying his focus, resilience and dedication are a sort of his greatness until now.
He said returning to the school is a testament of hope to all school pupils, especially in government schools across the thirty-three (33) local government areas of Oyo State.
The first health prefect of Brendan Primary School called the young pupils to face their studies, embrace good morals all their life saying this will enable them to succeed and remain in the heart of the people.
” My coming here is to motivate the young children here and as well restate the importance of embracing good morals, dedication and focus to them. I am very delighted to return here after many years of being of one them then. I was in their position, now ahead, a belief that soonest they will do exceeding exploits in life. I can see many of them turn greater: popular leaders in Nigeria, respected politicians, world rated technologists, famous music artistes, and remarkable entrepreneurs.”
Assuring the residents of continued good democracies under his watch, Hon. Ibrahim Oladeebo called for an enhanced co-operation with the Seyi Makinde led administration that has strengthened all critical sectors in the state including Health, Education, Security, and Economy even beyond 2027.
Earlier, the Co-ordinator of Catch Them Young Initiative and Bright Lens Media Networks, Mrs. Ayodeni Aluko appealed to parents and teachers to positively nurture talents in the pupils through teaching of needed skills, virtues and life experiences for a better Nigerian society.
The event which gathered various stakeholders including the Chairman of National Union of Teachers in Oyo State, Egbeda Chapter, Mr. Oyetunde Oyerinde,others featured inauguration of various clubs- Health, Environment, Press, Security, and JETS Clubs.
