The All Progressives Congress (APC) 2023 Candidate for Iseyin/Itesiwaju/Kajola/Iwajowa Federal Constituency, Oyo State, Dr. (Engr). Soliu Adebare Abu Gbadamosi, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of a Former Member of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Adegoke Thomas Abiodun Animasaun.

Dr. Abu Gbadamosi described Adegoke Thomas death as a painful loss to the Ayetoro-Oke Community, the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), the entire Oke-Ogun region, Oyo State politics, the progressive family, and the people of Kajola State Constituency.

In a condolence statement released on Monday, 2nd of February, 2026, and signed by Dr. (Engr). Soliu Adebare Abu Gbadamosi (IRE), Office of Media, Publicity, and Strategy, Oyo State, Dr. Soliu Abu Gbadamosi said he received the news of Hon. Adegoke Thomas Animasaun’s demise with deep shock and devastation, noting that the late lawmaker lived a life defined by service, integrity, and unwavering commitment to humanity.

Hon. Adegoke Thomas Abiodun Animasaun was Former Leader of the House in Kajola Local Government Area, and a Former Member of the Oyo State House of Assembly representing Kajola State Constituency between 2011 and 2015 under the defunct Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) during the administration of the Late Governor Abiola Ajimobi. 

According to him,  his tenure was marked by progressive ideals, effective representation, and strong grassroots engagement that endeared him to his constituents.

He describing the late lawmaker as a thoroughbred progressive, Dr. Abu Gbadamosi said Hon. Animasaun was not only an iconic parliamentarian but also a respected community leader whose influence transcended politics, faith, and community service. He noted that the deceased consistently stood for justice, development, and the welfare of the people, leaving behind a legacy worthy of emulation.

He extended his heartfelt condolences to the Ayetoro-Oke Community, the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC), the family of the late lawmaker, political associates, friends, and the people of Kajola Local Government Area, praying that God grants the family strength during this difficult period and that the departed soul rests in eternal peace. Rest on, My great leader, Egbon Dada, Sùn-ùn-rẹ.
