The Harrison Alonge Foundation (HAF), in collaboration with its French business partners, paid a courtesy visit to the Dangote Refinery in Lagos as part of its ongoing five-day official visit to Nigeria. The delegation, led by HAF’s CEO, Harrison Olaniyi Alonge, was impressed by the refinery’s vast infrastructure, advanced technological capacity, and large-scale industrial operations.
During the visit, the delegation toured several key sections of the facility, including the jetty, fertilizer plant, power generation plant, storage and processing units, and other major operational and support facilities. Alonge commended the visionary leadership behind the Dangote Refinery, describing it as a landmark industrial achievement that governments across Africa should emulate.
He also praised Alhaji Aliko Dangote as a role model whose commitment to industrial development has significantly repositioned Africa on the global economic map.
Mr. Frédéric Bourgault, Director of FAYAT Group of Companies, urged the Federal Government of Nigeria and the Lagos State Government to view the Dangote Refinery management as strategic partners in national development.
He emphasized the need for supportive policies, including considerate tax regimes, to ensure the sustainability of the multi-billion-dollar project.
The visit provided the delegation with firsthand insight into the refinery’s operations and reinforced the importance of collaboration and partnership in driving industrial growth and development.
