The atmosphere was electrifying at the 2025 Annual Thanksgiving, Awards, and Empowerment Achievements Programme of the Impact Guild Ladies Organisation (IGLO), held on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at the Senior Civil Service Club, Total Garden, Ibadan.

The colourful ceremony, which attracted dignitaries and notable personalities from various sectors, featured a rich blend of activities including free health checks, financial literacy talks, spiritual exhortations, health education, soul-lifting music, raffle draws, and plentiful food and drinks for all attendees.

Speaking at the event, the Oyo State Commissioner for Lands, Housing and Urban Development, Hon. Williams Akin Funmilayo, urged privileged members of society to show continuous support to the less privileged. He commended the IGLO Sisters for their commitment to humanitarian service.
According to him, “This is what God has called us to do—to assist the poor and needy around us, to give them hope, and to help them move forward.”
He applauded IGLO’s acts of kindness, noting that such compassion attracts divine rewards. “You may not understand the impact of what you are doing today, but your blessings will return in many folds. I am touched by your gesture and will always identify with and support you. God bless you all,” he added.
In her health exhortation, Mrs. Funmi Adetunji, a senior nurse, encouraged women to prioritize their well-being through physical and mental health practices. She urged them to speak up when overwhelmed and to remain intentional about maintaining a healthy and fulfilling life.
Also addressing the audience, Pastor (Mrs.) Toyin Ogedengbe praised the IGLO Sisters for their dedication to uplifting the poor, particularly the aged and vulnerable. She described IGLO as a consortium of compassionate and purpose-driven women. She encouraged them to remain steadfast, assuring them that God would reward their labour of love.
In her presidential address, Princess Funmi Alli Kayode, President of IGLO, expressed profound joy at the impressive turnout. She described the organisation as a female-driven, humanitarian, non-profit group established out of genuine compassion for the less privileged.
She noted, “IGLO is committed to making a meaningful difference in our community. For almost a decade, we have remained steadfast in our mission—touching lives, supporting the needy, visiting orphanages, assisting the elderly in old people’s homes, visiting and feeding inmates in prisons, paying bail bonds for discharged inmates who cannot afford them, empowering widows, and consistently bringing smiles to the underprivileged.”
Princess Kayode outlined the organisation’s well-structured annual calendar, which includes a Ladies’ Hangout in the first quarter, visitations to the underprivileged in the second quarter, and the Thanksgiving and Awards Programme in the final quarter. The organisation also hosts empowerment sessions, raffle draws, and recognition awards to philanthropists and dedicated members.
She described the annual Thanksgiving as a moment of deep gratitude to God for His grace, protection, and provision.
She expressed heartfelt appreciation to the most high God for the privilege to serve, the planning committee, IGLO members, her late mother Evangelist Aminat Kikelomo Alli, her father TPL Mubasiru Alli, her husband Rotarian Muyiwa Kayode (Maestro), her children, and all supporters whose contributions made the event a success.
