Wole Olanipekun Foundation Scholarship Scheme gets over 1bn donation …As Harrison Alonge commends Foundation’s efforts

Over N1 billion was on Saturday donated to support the Scholarship Scheme of the Wole Olanipekun Foundation founded by Ikere Ekiti born legal luminary , Chief Wole Olanipekun SAN.

The event, which is the 29th in the series of the scholarship scheme
and sixth edition of the Wole Olanipekun Foundation and Empowerment programme ,was held at Ikere Ekiti in Ekiti State, his country home.

A donation of N1billion was made by the chairman of the event, Dr. Olutoye Ariyo KSJ, an international business mogul from Iyin Ekiti, while an indigene of Ikere Ekiti, Mr Harrison Olaniyi Alonge, a France-based businessman and Founder of Harrison Niyi Alonge Care Foundation also donated a sum of N1million to support the Foundation’s efforts at empowering indigent students and citizens of Ikere Ekiti.

Speaking at the event, Harrison Olaniyi Alonge commended Chief Wole Olanipekun SAN and his wife, Erelu Omolara Olanipekun, for their tireless efforts in empowering students and citizens of Ikere Ekiti through scholarships and empowerment initiatives.

Alonge also announced a donation of 1 million naira from his foundation to support the Wole Olanipekun Foundation’s efforts.

He prayed for many more years of continued grace of God, sound health, and fulfillment Chief Olanipekun who he described as a ‘ legend and role model “.

In his remarks, Chief Olanipekun expressed gratitude to Dr. Olutoye Ariyo KSJ for his generous donation and urged beneficiaries of the scholarship scheme to make the most of the opportunity to improve their lives. He thanked the Governor of Ekiti State, His Excellency Abayomi Oyebanji, for his love and support for Ikere, citing his Omoluabi trait and love for Ekiti people as the reasons for his appreciation.
Olanipekun,equally commended the chairman Wole Olanipekun Foundation,Prince Seyi Ogosu and other committee members for their dedication and transparency.

The legal icon urged people to help one another as enshrined in the Holy Bible.

Beneficiaries and guests lauded the gesture as well as the efforts of Chief Olanipekun for his commitment to empowering the people of Ikere Ekiti and beyond.

The event was attended by several dignitaries, including His Excellency, the Governor of Ekiti State, Mr. Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, his Deputy, Mrs. Monisade Afuye, the Chairman of the traditional Council of Obas in Ekiti, His Royal Majesty, Oba Adejimi Adu-Alagbado, The Agrilala II, The Ogoga of Ikere Kingdom; The Arinjale of Ise Kingdom; The Oluyin of Iyin Ekiti, Oba (Dr.) Adeola Ajakaye; Oba Onise of Odo Oro Ekiti;

Others are; former Ekiti Deputy Governor, Surv. Abiodun Aluko; Bishop Bankole of St Peters Anglican Church, Ikere; other clergy men; business mogul, Mr. Sola Adewumi; Hon. AVM Ojuawo; and representatives from various universities.
