Oyo State Governor on Thursday led members of the National Convention Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)on an inspection visit to the Lekan Salami Sports Complex and Samuel Ladoke Akintola Airport in Ibadan, ahead of the party’s national convention.
The convention, scheduled to hold on November 15th and 16th, aims to strengthen ahead of the 2027 general elections and to further consolidate the party’s structure.
Chairman of the Committee, Umar Fintiri, expressed satisfaction with the level of preparation, thanking Governor Seyi Makinde for his support.
Despite recent defection, the Adamawa State Governor assured that despite deflection of some members, PDP remains a formidable force, with more determined than ever to reclaim power in 2027.
The committee’s inspection is part of the party’s efforts to ensure a successful convention.
