Makinde rewards Nigeria’s U-20 Women’s team with $15.000 after 4-0 victory over Rwanda

The Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde yesterday rewarded Nigeria’s U20 Women’s team, the Falconets with the sum of $15,000, after their 4-0 victory over Rwanda in a 2026 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup qualifying match at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Ibadan.

The Rwandan team were also gifted $10,000.

The Falconets had won by a lone goal in their first leg match in Kigali bringing the goal aggregate to 5.0

Nigeria face Senegal in Round 3 of the 2026 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup qualifying series.
