The Iya Oba of Isin Land, Chief (Mrs) Olayinka Latinwo has extended her heartfelt felicitations to His Imperial Majesty, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, ahead of his historic coronation as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland.
In her goodwill message, the Iya Oba described the emergence of Senator Rashidi Ladoja as a divine blessing not only to the ancient city of Ibadan but also to Oyo State and Nigeria at large.
She emphasized that the revered monarch’s wealth of experience as a former Governor of Oyo State, coupled with his deep knowledge of Ibadan’s rich traditions, has uniquely prepared him to ascend the throne at this momentous time in history.
According to her, Oba Ladoja embodies the virtues of wisdom, humility, and foresight, which are essential qualities of a true custodian of culture and tradition. She noted that his ascension to the revered stool of the Olubadan symbolizes continuity, peace, and prosperity for Ibadanland.
“I join the sons and daughters of Ibadanland, both at home and in the diaspora, in celebrating the forthcoming coronation of a man whose life has been marked by service to humanity, leadership, and unwavering commitment to the unity of our people.

Iya Oba of Isin Land also commended the Ibadan traditional institution for its peaceful and orderly succession process, which once again highlights the uniqueness of the Olubadan traditional system in Nigeria.
She prayed that Oba Ladoja’s reign would bring divine wisdom to resolve challenges, promote harmony among the people, and sustain the enviable legacy of Ibadan as a land of courage, unity, and enterprise.
She further assured Kabiyesi of her continuous support and loyalty, reaffirming her confidence that his reign will strengthen traditional values while also embracing modernization for the benefit of the younger generation.
“As you ascend the throne of your forefathers, I pray that the Almighty God will grant you long life, sound health, and enduring strength to lead Ibadanland to greater heights. May your coronation be a testimony of God’s grace, and may your reign be remembered for peace, prosperity, and unity,” she concluded.
She noted that the coronation of Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland is already attracting goodwill messages and celebrations across Yorubaland and beyond, just as the ancient city prepares for a historic event that will further etch Ibadan’s prominence in Nigeria’s cultural landscape.
