The initiative, first introduced in 2015 by the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa, mandates all 40 members of the House to hold stakeholders’ meetings simultaneously across their constituencies.

According to a statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the Speaker, Mr. Dave Agboola, this year’s edition is themed “Governance in Action: The Gains of the Renewed Hope Agenda.”

The theme underscores the Assembly’s commitment to highlighting the dividends of governance under the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, while also emphasizing the impact of collaboration between government and citizens at all levels.

The forum will provide constituents with the opportunity to engage their representatives directly, discuss pressing local and state issues, and contribute ideas to strengthen governance. It will also serve as a platform to showcase achievements of the current administration while gathering feedback from the public.

The Speaker, Rt. Hon. Obasa described the initiative as a vital tool for dialogue and accountability, noting that “This stakeholders’ meeting has proved to be an effective mechanism for ensuring that the voices of our people are heard, their needs addressed, and their aspirations integrated into government policies.”

As preparations continue, anticipation is already building across communities, with residents eager to take part in discussions that will shape the future of governance in Lagos State. The House of Assembly has encouraged all stakeholders to attend and actively participate in the dialogue.
