It is time to stop this unproductive flow of attacks, counter attacks, half truths, half lies, naked prejudices and partisan affections.

I am aware that controversy will not cease easily because the BLOGGERS are making content from it to generate followers and make money. The controversy has become their pots of soup.

Some of the Bloggers seek to attract huge following by attacking, or sometimes insult, either the Ooni or Alaafin.

I remember that in late 1970s, one unknown lecturer of UNIBEN , Dr Ohonbamu became a celebrity by attacking Chief Obafemi Awolowo in his publication.  Very lately,  Dele Farotimi acquired a super national status by attacking Aare Afe Babalola.

So the Bloggers or Content Providers attract huge traffic by their barrage of offensive publications. They will earn money from the huge traffic but they will damage the peace and internal cohesion of the Yoruba.

Without knowing it, these Bloggers are exposing the Yoruba to ridicule…..making us even butts of jokes by non-Yorubas. These Bloggers are making money at the expense of the peace,  security and unity of the Yoruba.

My appeal is to all Yorubas to stop patronising these Bloggers who are unaware of the damage they are doing or are deliberately fracturing the peace of the Yoruba.  I also appeal to patriotic Yoruba Bloggers  and Mass Media Managers and professionals to stop this continuous creation of tension. What is beyond six is certainly more than seven.
