The Oyo State Local Government Service Commission has issued a warning to the public against fraudulent activities related to fake recruitment exercises.
In a disclaimer notice signed by the Chairman of the Commission, Bashorun Akinwale Akinwole clarified that it is not currently conducting any recruitment exercise, contrary to claims being circulated online and offline.
The Commission advised the public to disregard such information and refrain from engaging with unauthorized individuals or platforms making these claims.
According to the statement, official recruitment announcements will be made through verified government channels, including the official Oyo State Government website and recognized national newspapers.
The public is urged to be cautious and vigilant to avoid falling victim to these scams.
It reads:”The attention of the Oyo State Local Government Service Commission has been drawn to messages being circulated by unscrupulous elements online and offline, claiming that the Commission is currently conducting a recruitment exercise.
“We wish to categorically state that the Commission is not carrying out any recruitment exercise at this time and that the conversion of Ad-hoc Staff into permanent staff had been concluded long time ago.
“Any advertisement on social media posts or call for applications or issuance of appointment letters is false, misleading and the handiwork of fraudsters.
“The general public is strongly advised to disregard such information and refrain from engaging with unauthorized individuals or platforms making these claims
Please note that:
1. All official recruitment announcements from the Oyo State Local Government Service Commission will be made through verified government channels, including:
-The official Oyo State Government website
– Recognized national newspapers
-Accredited broadcast media outlets
2. The Commission will never request payment from applicants at any stage of a recruitment process.
3. Anyone who responds to or transacts with fraudsters circulating these fake notices or. Information on issuance of appointment letters purportedly to have been issued by the Commission does so at his/her own risk, as the Commission will not be held responsible for any losses incurred
