The Chairman of Salt De King (SDK) Football Club Kazeem Adedeji has said Super Eagles Caoach Eric Sekou Chelle should not be blamed for the CHAN Eagles 4-0 defeat at the hands of their Sudanese counterpart.

Recalled that the Sudanese team inflicted the heavyset defeat of the Championship Of African Nations ( CHAN) by thrashing their Nigerian counterparts by 4-0 during the later’s second match of the competition .

Recalled also that the CHAN Eagles had earlier lost their first match by a lone goal to their Senegalese counterparts during the first match.
The loss to the Sudanese automatically sent the CHAN tournament.

Adedeji who also owns a female team Salt De Queen (SDQ) Football Club Ibadan stated that the Franco Malian Coach should not be blamed for the disaster noting that it was the first time he was handling the team since becoming the coat of the Super Eagles as lacks sufficient knowledge about the team.

He observed that it was a football match where anything can happen if one failed to prepare adding that in this situation, Chelle was the only one who knew the reason why he kept players such as Anas Yusuf and Godwin Obaje the highest goal scorers in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) among others on the bench when the team was in dire need of strikers on the pitch.

Adedeji revealed that the reason for the formation of his teams was to eradicate delinquency and wandering on the part of youth noting his team had been successful to an extent by having its players travel abroad to Tanzania for trials but had to return home due to lack of work permit besides some of them waiting for call ups to the Nigerian under 15 and under 17 teams after trials.

He explained that more will still come as the teams are growing in leaps and bounds while the management is equally exploring more ways of improvement.
