The Sabiganna of Iganna Kingdom, in Iwajowa Local Government Area of Oyo State, His Royal Majesty Oba Soliu Oyemonla Tella Azeez (Agunloye IV), and Permanent Chairman of the Traditional Council in the area, has expressed heartfelt appreciation to the Federal Government, led by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for the ongoing Iseyin–Okeho–Iganna Road project facilitated by Senator Abdulfatai Buhari.
Oba Soliu said the project, when completed, would significantly enhance the economic development of the area.
“On behalf of the peace-loving people of this constituency, we commend the Federal Government for commencing the project and urge its speedy completion within the stipulated timeframe, given its socio-economic importance to farmers, traders, and business owners,” the monarch stated.
He noted that the road is vital to the growth of the constituency as it connects three local government areas — Iwajowa, Kajola, and Iseyin — in Oyo State.
The monarch also lauded Senator Abdulfatai Buhari, representing Oyo North Senatorial District, for his consistent advocacy and inclusive representation, describing his leadership style as exemplary, accessible, and rooted in equity and service delivery.
“Senator Buhari’s intervention in facilitating this project is deeply appreciated, as it goes beyond infrastructure to connecting communities and uplifting lives,” he added.
While commending the contractor for the progress made so far, Oba Soliu urged them to expedite work and maintain the quality of construction to ensure timely delivery.
Similarly, the royal father praised Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, for recently approving the construction of the Okaka–Igbojaye Road, which he said would further strengthen socio-economic ties within the Oke-Ogun area.
He, however, appealed to the governor to also prioritize the construction or rehabilitation of the Alaga–Otu–Ilero–Iganna–Idiko-Ile Road, in line with his campaign promises.
Describing Governor Makinde as a “worthy leader with an outstanding record in infrastructural development,” the monarch commended his administration’s strides in education, agriculture, health, sports, security, and other critical sectors.
“The fulfillment of these promises will not only ease the movement of goods and farm produce but also demonstrate the government’s commitment to inclusive development across all zones of the state,” Oba Soliu said.
The monarch pledged continued support for Governor Makinde’s administration and urged all stakeholders to remain committed, patriotic, and actively involved in the state’s development agenda.
