The Pro-Chancellor and Chairman, Governing Council, Emmanuel Alayande University of Education, Oyo, Emeritus Professor Ayoade Olayiwola Ogunkunle has joined his fellow sons and daughters of Oyo kingdom to celebrate the Alaafin of Oyo, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Abimbola Akeem Owoade 1 on the occasion of his golden jubilee birthday and 19th wedding anniversary celebrations.
The Oyo-born renowned Agriculturist in a release made available by the institution’s Media and Public Relations Officer, Wale Adeoye described Oba Abimbola Akeem Owoade as a man of wisdom, compassion and geniality, adding that his spirit of generosity is legendary.
“Kabiyesi as a very strong personality is leaving a strong impression on everyone he meets or comes under his sphere of influence. It is in line with our University’s belief in Alaafin’s protection of our cultural heritage that we have approved the establishment of Alaafin Institute of Yoruba Studies which is taking off soon”.
