
Lawyer to the late Nigeria’s highest goal scorer, Rashidi Yekini, Barrister Jubril Mohammed has predicted that the Super Falcons will do well at the on going Women African Cup Of Nations (WAFCON).
Recalled that WAFCON is on going in Morocco with team in the same group with Tunisia, Algeria and Botswana.
Nigeria currently leads the group with six points garnered off wins from Tunisia and Botswana which the Super Falcons defeating Tunisia by 3-0 and Botswana 1-0 respectively to qualify for the quarter finals of the tournament.
Speaking in Ibadan, Barrister Mohammed explained that the Nigerian female national team is the most constitent national team which keeps bringing in awards and honor for Nigeria.
He pointed out that the team has won nine out of the twelve championships organized by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) in the number of years the tournament had been played adding that the Super Eagles that is much valued and sought after by Nigerians have only won three out of all the CAF organized tournaments.
He stated that for this reason, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) should induct the the Super Falcons into the Hall Of Fame for the exemplary feat and performance.
Barrister Mohammed said further that the Super Falcons will also do well in the on going WAFCON stressing that what he can not say is if the team will eventually win the trophy in contention to make it ten for Nigeria and do the mission x as planned by NFF.
