
The Executive Governor of Oyo State , His Excellency, Engr Oluseyi Abiodun Makinde has been lauded for recording landmark and unprecedented achievements in six years in office.

The Chairman of the Oyo State Local Government Staff Pension Board, Hon Akeem Ademola Ige gave the commendation in his congratulatory message to the governor on the occasion of six years in office.
According to Hon Ige ” on behalf of the Permanent Secretary, management, entire members of staff, retired primary school teachers and local government staff retirees heartily felicitate the pensioners friendly governor, His Excellency, Engr Oluseyi Abiodun Makinde on the sixth year in office today Thursday, 29th May, 2025.
” Governor Makinde has fulfilled his electioneering campaign promises in all sectors in the pacesetter state from first term Accelerated Development Agenda to second term Sustainable Development Agenda.”
While describing the present administration as a purposeful and impactful one, Hon Ige reeled out some of the achievements ” this government has paid over Twenty Three Billion Naira out of over Thirty Six Billion Naira inherited backlog of gratuity and retirement benefits, payment of monthly pension allowance on the 25th of every month.”
” In addition, increase in monthly allocation for payment of gratuity to Five Hundred Million Naira, inclusion of retirees into OYSHIA scheme, decentralization of payment of gratuity and “I Am Alive” screening exercise in all the geo-political zones of the state.”
“Massive infrastructural development across all the geo-political zones, unprecedented recruitment exercises in the ministries, commissions and agencies, procurement of medical equipment to hospitals, free education policy, on-going upgrading of Ibadan airport to international airport and others too numerous to mention” he said.
He then solicited for the continued support and cooperation of all citizens and residents of Oyo State to Governor Seyi Makinde led government as he strives to deliver dividends of democracy to the doorstep of all and sundry.
Hon Ige then prayed for more wisdom, good health and attainment of greater height for the people’s governor.
