Oyo Ndigbo President, Nwabunike Umeh Charges Nigerians to work together for progress… recieves award from DSS

The President General of Ohaneze Ndi-Igbo in Oyo State, Mr Nwabunike Okechukwu Umeh, has charged Nigerians irrespective of tribe and ethnic differences work together in order to make the nation great and proud again.

Mr Umeh gave the charge during the visit of the Executive members of the Ohaneze Indigbo in the state to office of the Director of the Department of State Security (DSS) in the state.

According to him, Nigerians need to come together at this crucial time and work for the common good of the country, thus returning the country to prime position.

“Nigerians need to be more united and join hands to move the nation forward. It is high time we put away our differences and turn a new leave so as to make the nation proud.”

Mr Umeh while thanking the state Director of the DSS Mr Adeyinka Adelakun for his warm reception said the visit was aimed at familiarizing with the command.

He said: “the  meeting fostered a productive interaction and culminated in a memorandum of understanding between the DSS and Ohaneze Ndi-Igbo, aimed at protecting the interests of Igbo residents in Oyo State.

“We thank you for the warm reception you offered us today and we hope to reciprocate the gesture.”

Speaking, the Director of the State Security Service, Oyo State Command, expressed delight in hosting Mr Nwabunike Okechukwu Umeh, the leader of Ndi-Igbo in Oyo State and his Executives. 

He pledged to collaborate closely with the organization and assured availability of the command response for their services whenever needed.

Highlight of the meeting was the presentation of an award by the  Director to the President General of the Ohaneze in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the welfare of Ndi-Igbo and the broader community.

The President General was accompanied to the meeting by members of the executive team.
