An ardent supporter of Shooting Stars Football Club Olaide Alausa has enjoined Governor Seyi Makinde to monitor how funds is being spent in the team.
Alausa who made the passionate appeal to the Governor Makinde stated that it was high time he did that for the progress of the Oluyole Warriors.
He observed that the state helmsman had ensured that the team does not lack funds by increasing the monthly grants of the 1996 double champions and 1998 Nigeria National football league champions from about #35m to #50m but added that this is not enough as he should equally monitor how funds are being spent for the purpose of accountability and progress of the team.
The ardent supporters stated though the season had ended in a manner least expected by the supporters club and well meaning individuals,he however urged them not to be demoralized and daunted as what happened was God’s will which nobody can do anything about.
“I believe in God and know that nothing can happen without his consent and therefore, I know that what happened was the will of God which we can not do anything about” Alausa posited.
He regretted that even though funding was not the issue as the fortune of Shooting Stars Football Club suddenly nosedived from the second position to the seventh position where it is now neither the issue being that the club lacks quality players or technical crew, he however urged fans to take everything in their stride and carry on with life and forget what occurred in the year.
He however advised the technical crew and the management of the team to work harmoniously to engender better result next year stating what happened was the will of God just as enjoined Governor Makinde to intervene in how funds is being spent by the Oluyole Warriors.
