
The Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, has approved the construction of a new University Health Centre for Emmanuel Alayande University of Education, Oyo.
According to a release made available by the University’s Media and Public Relations Officer, ‘Wale Adeoye quoted the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Olanrewaju Olaniyan, expressing his heartfelt gratitude to the development.
“I am pleased to inform all the visitors to our University that Governor Seyi Makinde has approved the construction of a new University Health Centre for our university. Work is expected to commence immediately as the contractor moves to the site this month.”
“This is in confirmation of the governor’s love and support for our University. We thank and appreciate our amiable governor for the gift. This is coming after the gift of repairs of internal roads on campus. Thank God it’s coming to fruition.

It will be recalled that Governor Makinde, in his determination to reposition the status of the former College of Education, got approval for the upgrade to a University status on 16 December, 2022 from the National Universities Commission (NUC).
The University, under the leadership of Professor Olanrewaju Olaniyan, has witnessed tremendous developments since her establishment. Currently, it has admitted over five thousand students in the last two sessions into five (5) different faculties.
