The Aare Parakoyi of Ekotedo in Ibadan the Oyo State Capital, Aare (Dr.) Raymond Adeyinka Adewale has congratulated Christians in the country and Oyo State in Particular on the occasion of the 2025 Easter celebration.
Aare (Dr) Adewale in a statement, described the Easter celebration as a time and moment of sober reflection, urging Christians to imbibe the lessons and sacrificial life exhibited by Jesus Christ.
Recalling the sacrificial life lived by Jesus Christ to obtain victory for mankind, Dr. Adewale, Chairman, Aryfad Travels and Tours Limited Adamasingba, Ibadan, urged Christians to reciprocate same gestures by showing love to people around them.
According to him, Easter is more than just a date on the calendar; it’s a celebration of life, light, and victory, It’s a time to reflect on the power of faith, the strength of love, and the gift of redemption, hence the time and day should be a time of sober reflection to Christians.
“As we celebrate the glorious resurrection of Jesus Christ, we should remember the transformative power of Easter, as we reflect on the sacrifice and triumph of our Lord, who conquered death and brought us hope, redemption, and eternal life.
“In the midst of darkness, Jesus shone a light that continues to guide us today. His resurrection is a testament to the boundless love and mercy of God, who gave His only Son to save humanity from sin. Through Jesus’ triumph over death, we have been given the gift of salvation, forgiveness, and new life.
“As we rejoice in the resurrection of Jesus, let us also remember the significance of this moment in our own lives. Easter reminds us that no situation is too dire, no challenge too great, and no darkness too profound that God’s light cannot penetrate. Just as Jesus rose from the dead, we too can rise above our struggles, our fears, and our doubts.
“This Easter, may we be filled with the hope and joy that comes from knowing that Jesus is alive. May His resurrection power ignite a spark within us, empowering us to live with purpose, to love without condition, and to serve with compassion. May we be reminded that we are not alone, that God is always with us, guiding us, strengthening us, and uplifting us.
“As we celebrate this glorious day, let us extend our gratitude to God for the gift of salvation, for the promise of eternal life, and for the hope that sustains us. May the resurrection of Jesus Christ bring us closer to God and to one another, and may we emerge from this Easter season with renewed faith, renewed hope, and renewed purpose.
He admonished Christians and the people generally to live right with positive intentions to contribute to the development of the nation.
Aare (Dr) Adewale also urged Christians to use the occasion to pray hard for the nation in order to secure a country where the people enjoy the dividends of democracy.
