Aspirant for the Ibadan North Federal Constituency seat under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Taofeek Adebayo Aderogba (mni), has declared his readiness to offer quality representation to the people if elected in the forthcoming bye-election.

Hon. Aderogba made this known while addressing journalists in Ibadan, outlining his intentions for contesting the seat and his plans for the people of the constituency.

According to him, his wealth of experience from the private sector, combined with over 15 years of grassroots political involvement, makes him the most qualified candidate for the office. He emphasized his commitment to improving the welfare of youths, the elderly, and traders, promising initiatives that will uplift their standard of living.

“The desire to contribute positively to the lives of the good people of Ibadan North Federal Constituency and alleviate their current hardships inspired me to join the race. I am using this opportunity to seek their support in the forthcoming bye-election,” he said.

“I am a unionist with vast private sector experience. I have conducted thorough grassroots assessments and I understand the needs of our people. With my track record and background, I strongly believe I am the best candidate for the job, by the grace of God,” he added.

Hon. Aderogba pledged to create employment opportunities for the youth and launch well-structured empowerment schemes aimed at improving livelihoods across the constituency.

He commended APC leaders in Ibadan North for their efforts and promised inclusive and effective representation that would foster sustainable development in the area.

Residents, he said, will feel the impact of governance positively once he is elected, expressing confidence that his administration will bring a sigh of relief to the people.

Aderogba, who hails from Ibadan North 2 Constituency and previously contested for the State House of Assembly in 2019 under the Accord Party, paid tribute to the late Hon. Musiliudeen Olaide Akinremi (Jagaban), the former representative of the constituency,  assuring the constituents that, if elected, he would continue the legacy of delivering the dividends of democracy.

It will be recalled that Hon. Akinremi passed away on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, after a brief illness—creating a vacuum in the National Assembly representation for Ibadan North.

“As a unionist and professional with strong experience in politics, administration, and the private sector, I already have a clear blueprint. I will ensure job creation for youths, and support for the elderly and market stakeholders. My passion is rooted in the genuine desire to improve the quality of life for our people,” he stated.

Speaking on the performance of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Hon. Aderogba lauded the president’s efforts and called for patience from Nigerians, urging them to support the administration to achieve its economic goals.
