The Commissioner of Police in Oyo State, CP Johnson Oluwole Adenola psc, has expressed his empathy with the affected traders of Aleshinloye market inferno and reiterated the Command’s commitment to ensuring security support throughout this challenging time.

CP Adenola who on Thursday warmly welcomed the representatives of the victims affected by the fire incident at Aleshinloye International Market, 

at the Command Headquarters, Eleyele, Ibada highlighted the need for proactive measures aimed at preventing similar incidents in the future,

His area of focused on the strategies which include

Proper Storage Protocols, ensuring that combustible materials are stored in designated areas to reduce fire risks, regular electrical inspections, conducting timely checks on electrical systems to identify and rectify potential hazards among others.

The  CP while reassuring attendees of increased patrols and the implementation of intelligence-led policing in the area to enhance security measures, called for a joint effort with local market authorities to identify improvements that can be made for overall market safety. 

CP Adenola reaffirmed the Command’s unwavering dedication to the safety and well-being of all law-abiding residents of the State as guaranteed by the Constitution and other relevant laws.

During the engagement, delegates from various prominent trading associations expressed their heartfelt gratitude towards the Police and Fire Service for their quick and effective response that played a pivotal role in extinguishing the fire.

They said, the police  immediate action prevented potential looting and safeguarded the community during a precarious moment.

The representatives acknowledged the Police Command’s swift deployment of officers that enabled a rapid return to normalcy for business activities. They emphasized the necessity for reinforced security measures to safeguard the market from future emergencies.
