Aare (Dr.) Adewale in a statement described Ramadan as a spiritual exercise through which Muslim faithfuls submit totally to the will of Allah in service.

“I congratulate all Muslim faithfuls all over the world and Nigeria in particular on the occasion of the 2025 Ramadan fast, I urge you to submit totally and  faithfully  to Allah and obey his command during and after the exercise.

“This sacred month, which follows the Islamic lunar calendar, is marked by fasting from dawn to sunset, increased prayers, acts of charity, and spiritual reflection. The month will conclude with Eid al-Fitr on March 31, 2025.”

According to him, Ramadan is a significant time for Muslims as it commemorates the revelation of the Quran to the Prophet Muhammad. It is a period of self-discipline, where believers refrain from food, drink, and other physical needs during daylight hours to develop taqwa (God-consciousness).

Dr Adewale who is also the Aare Musulumi of Adamasingba and  Environs in Ibadan called for Increased Worship and Charity during the Ramadan and acts of worship.

“Charity is also a central pillar, with Muslims obligated to give Zakat al-Fitr before Eid al-Fitr so that the less fortunate can also celebrate the festival.

He urged Muslims to use the occasion to intercede for the nation as well as the leaders in order to save the  nation from the critical condition rocking the economy.

“May this Ramadan bring peace, prosperity, and countless blessings to all. Ramadan Mubarak, he prayed.
